Asamoah Gyan converts a spot kick after Harry Kewell used his hand to deny Jonathan Mensah the Opener. Brett Holman opened the score from a rebound after Richard Kingson failed to make a first time catch from a Mark Bresciano free kick. However a resilient and relentless Andre Ayew took on four defenders before sending a through pass for Jonathan Mensah to unleash a bullet. But Harry Kewell used his hand to block the ball and was shown a straight red card. Asamoah Gyan stepped up to convert for his second goal of the tournament and to draw Ghana on level terms. 1-1 first half scoreline.
